These chairs were designed by Lubomír Hofmann and produced in 1960s by a Czechoslovakian company TON. The chairs are made of beechwood in a unique TON technique of bent plywood. TON (previously Thonet) was a pioneer back in those days in bent plywood technique and used it in innovative designs creating beautiful shaped furniture that are still widely appreciated nowadays. The chairs are very comfortable and their ergonomic design allows you to rest steady and naturally. Softly shaped armrests fit perfectly to your hand. This set of two has been completely restored and finished in clear oil which gives the nice touch of warm wooden surface and natural mat finish.
