Johannes Andersen Sofa Set Excellent for AB Trensums Fåtöljfabrik

This set of furniture was produced by AB Trensums Fåtöljfabrik from Sweden around 1950s/1960s. Like most furniture from Scandinavia, this set was also made with great care and accuracy, which we could observe throughout the renovation process. Extremely interesting design and beautiful line that’s still fresh and enchanting nowadays. The set has undergone a thorough upholstery renovation, the seats have been completely replaced and the new upholstery fabric comes from German Company – Sahco. The textile we have used in this particular project is „Safire” in light cream and mint melange color no. 0006 (composition: 43% viscose17% polyacrylic15% new wool9% cotton8% linen8% polyester). It reminds very much of the original fabric that you can see in the last picture from an archival catalogue. The green fabric used on the inside is linen combined with cotton. The furniture is set on a beautifully shaped teakwood frame that has also been restored and finished in clear wax-oil. This particular design is extremely rare to be found nowadays and is probably the only one available for sale worldwide at the moment.
